Our 10-Step Guide to the Insurance Restoration Process

As part of our commitment to providing total customer satisfaction, we’re proud to extend our resources as a professional storm restoration contractor to help all of our clients receive the insurance claims assistance they need.

Here’s our 10-step guide to aid you throughout your insurance restoration process.

1. Schedule an Inspection With Timberline

We will provide a thorough assessment and report of the damage endured by your property.

2. Contact Your Insurance Company

You’ll need the following information to report any storm damage to your insurance provider:

Policy number – This can be found on your insurance paperwork.
Type of damage – Determined by our inspectors after inspection: wind, hail, tornado, etc.
Date of loss – Recount the date in which the storm occurred.

3. Schedule an Inspection With Your Provider’s Adjuster

Once you’ve been assigned an adjuster by your insurance provider, you’ll be provided with their contact information to schedule an appointment with them:

Adjuster’s full name
Adjuster’s phone number
Time and date of appointment

4. Contact Us and Provider the Adjuster’s Information

We’ll contact and coordinate with the adjuster on a set time to meet with one of our contractor representatives to inspect your property and determine a fair evaluation and estimate of the damage.

5. Meet Your Field Rep to Discuss the Adjuster Inspection

This is when you can decide on various aspects of the restoration process, such as products, materials, colors, etc.

6. Get Your Claim Report and First of Two Checks

You will receive these in the mail from your insurance company.

7. Verify Claim Report Information

Once you’ve received an official receipt of the claim report, as well as the first of two checks, contact your Timeline representative for official verification.

8. Select Colors and Products for Your Restoration Project

On most occasions, your restoration project will be scheduled for production within two weeks.

9. Final Invoice

Once the restoration project is complete, we will send you and your insurance provider a final invoice.

10. Pay Balance Due

After you’ve received the second and final check from your insurance company, the remainder of your final invoice will be due.
